Brugs was selected to ride at the Goodwood CDAY for 4 yrs running with her own horse, an Appaloosa. Brugs trained "Spotty" herself and had the advantage of daily lessons, for 5 years, from the previous Chief Rider of the Spanish Riding School - Herr Franz Rochowansky. Brugs was also selected to ride Catweazel at Goodwood CDAY as well for one of the years and rode Double Dutch and HiFi during her YR (Young Rider) years at PSG level
Brugs went on to train 3 horses to Grand Prix; one of which was long listed for the British
Olympic
Team back in the 80's and represented GB
at Beek in Holland as a senior
In a Horse and Hound article written by Jane Kidd, Spotty & Brugs were named as the youngest combination to train to Grand Prix in the UK
